Since open source gives rebranding rights, what notices do I have to put on rebranded software?

Also, what does "provided on an as is basis" mean and what are the implications?

"Open Source" doesn't necessarily mean you have rebranding rights. It all depends on the license it is distributed with. I would find out what license the software is under and read the terms of it.

be careful there, a lot of open source lets you modify their files as long as you also make derivative work open source.
