We have the following situation: 1. Publisher 1 sends a prospect, Joe, to Merchant A. Joe didn't make the online purchase on Merchant A website. 2. Then, on 2nd day, the same Joe was browsing through Publisher 2 website where he got directed to Merchant A. Joe can't decide yet and decided to research more product review. 3. On 7th day, Joe decides to buy and went directly to Merchant A website, and make his purchase there. Assuming a 10-day cookie period, who gets paid?
And what if we have following situation (it's a little different then this original one): Publisher 1 sends a prospect, Joe, to Merchant A, and have some user system (which means that users can have their accounts overthere), Joe is already registered on Merchant A and Joe makes purchase there (with cookies from Publisher 1). Will Publisher 1 receive commission?
2 merchants redirect who gets paid onecause the consumer has downloaded the toolbar and onecause has donated a portion of the sales to charity. Shnoot.
