Alright, im having two issues as far as hosting goes but they both refer to the same problem. My sites are running slow... #1 MT Grid About a month ago, I bought an account at MediaTemple on their grid server that I would dedicate only to one site. The site loads fine on my cable connection but when I switch to 56K or even DSL I notice the site is slower than competitors and some times it doesn't even load. Im pretty sure this is becoming the demise of the site, because we are having trouble handling large amounts of members because they cant even contact the site! #2 Proxy Network (3 Sites + Network Site) on VPS I started a proxy network February 9th, 2007, beginning with one proxy. I advertised on proxy.org and the site began to get 200-300 u/v daily except on weekends. I started 2 more proxies, but only one of them I bought more advertising for, and it matched the first site with 200-300 u/v while the other site only did 15-16 a day. The problem is im having is that the server is slown to a crawl the last day or so, so bad that the site takes long to load on whatever connection im on. Im losing traffic, money and the consistency I hate. Solutions? Well, the only thing I have in mind is getting a dedicated server but I don't have much money right now since I invested about 300 dollars into the project (not much). Does anybody know of any dedicated's that can handle 3 beginning proxies (no, this isn't too much traffic, the first site recieves about 4X's the u/v the proxy network recieves) and a site with about 2K u/v a day? No, im not looking for a super high-end dedicated... especially with this just being a venture. When the sites are running full speed I earn about 30 dollars a day but this just started happening so I don't have the money on hand to get anything expensive yet, I need something that will work right now . If you can, please help . Thanks.
