    domain expires in November 2006 (RegisterFly)

    There are hundreds of alternatives to adsense.
    Heck, affiliate programs will pay you more than adsense.
    These types of programs are great for non-content sites.

    Find programs to affiliate with that have something to do with these sites.

    Good sites, good programs, but way too much money for me.

    no, they haven't gone down - the traffic is still steady

    I'll pm you the stats

    you won't get banned for having adsense on these sites (but you can't display adsense while surfing websites through the proxies)

    note that these type of sites consume much cpu - so the best option for hosting is VPS or a dedicated server

    Any chance on lowering the initial bids since the sites require an investment of at least of $50/month on hosting fees?

    I realise they aren't the most cunning people in the IT world, but don't most school/business staff ban the phrase *proxy*? It would seem common sense to me.

    I'm not trying to trash your thread. I'm just asking a serious question.

    So you're telling me that right before you sell the site, you disabled it? How is that conducive to selling the site? Now all those people who were using the site have gone somewhere else? Brilliant.

    If you could prove that the site was making $100 a month in AdSense, and it was still operational, I would have bought it in a heartbeat.

    Read the Adsense TOS before making any conclusions.
    It's not allowed to run adsense on non-functional websites - as the service was disabled I guess it's called non-functional, right? ;)

    You missed my point entirely. My "conclusions" involved a simple deduction; People who visit sites that don't work, don't come back. It had nothing to do with running AdSense on a site that wasn't functional. Go back, re-read it, and respond appropriately.

    But in case English isn't your first language, I'll sum it up for you.

    You're selling a site.
    Buyers want a reason to buy the site.
    The reason you give is that it provides traffic - in-turn producing ad revenue.
    You disabled the site two weeks ago.
    People who come to the site and find it doesn't work - don't come back.
    Bye bye visitors.
    Bye bye revenue.
    Bye bye reason to buy.

    Yes I realise how condescending that sounds, It was intentional - but I'm simply awestruck at why you would seemingly sabotage a site right as you're trying to off it. I was about to pounce until I went back and thoroughly re-read the auction and realised the site is no longer operational.

    If $400 is BIN...

    I'll do BIN pending:

    -Verification current stats still the same.
    -Domain Name Registrar
    -If you can transfer it fast, dont want it to lose any more visits ;)

    Thanks.

    } else {
    If its not a BIN nevermind, don't want to wait a few days in an auction. Let me know :D
    }
