I am a first time seller. Well not necessarily, I have not really started selling yet, but I will soon. Now I am a legitement person and I was writing an ebook about a certain niche with 40 to 60 pages of ZERO-FLUFF. Then I started reading what other people said and they write 2 page essays on their topic and then sell it for $50. I am appalled at these scam artists, but it now seems like everyone is doing it. Am I wasting my time... The problem~ I have been writing for a couple of months and I am going to have my book patented. Is this too much work for a CB ebook? How long does it take you to make your ebooks? How many pages are your ebooks.
All I can say is you will probably have less refunds and more sales becuase it has more info if the info is good.
you are not wasting your time at all. a 2 page ebook for $50 is insane. Put yourself in the shoes of somebody that just paid $50 and downloaded a 2 page book.. would you be happy.. hell no. I spend ages getting my ebooks written correctly.. i think its the right thing to do.
I would take your time with it, I have never written an ebook so I wouldnt know, but if 2 pages is that valuable, I would hope I am getting my moneys worth.
Chickuzt, CONGRATS! Best problem i've seen someone with lately and I repped you for it. You must realize that clickbank is meant to be nothing more than one avenue of monetizing 'whatever you can' as you put it. People don't even write anymore, they join PLR clubs or buy PLR content, slap a logo/name and .pdf on it, and hire a $30 writer for the salesletterautomater, overnight product - crap - refundish - 90% of clickbank Silliest part is, some of these actually go through the roof, and in a way it's kind of good that 90% of the crap is conditioning the markets to this 'crap', so when they see a great offer or great presentation to a great offer, the response is much better, the retention is much better, the less refunds happen, and as always - overdelivering is in your best interest. You should even take a bit more time and include a non advertised custom made bonus (they don't even see it until they pay). This way, they know that a) When they shop with you as a publisher/author, you really give them value and extras so it's a great shopping experience b) They will feel guilty asking for a refund if you over deliver. Because you are getting it patented and doing everything professionally, I wouldn't be exclusive to ClickBank, it requires a standalone site. I would throw it under a few different domains and explore both online markets within different networks, and offline distribution if possible to maximize your return on such a profressionally made product. cheers to quality. NC.
I get just as annoyed with a 50 page ebook with tones of white space written in 18font wide margins and header and littered with affiliate links. When condensed it would have been about 3-5 pages. To add insult to injury its stuff you could have found free here on DP.
chickuzt I think 2-3 page ebook would have high refunds rate, because even if there is no fluff, it's kinda difficult to explain "something" on 2-3 pages.
If that 2-3 page ebook can provide people with something which makes their jaw drop to the floor than even those few words can make you millions. It's not the quantity rather the quality which counts.
That's usually true but 2-3 pages is not book people will want their money back! Unless you tell them some secret known one else knows but it would have to be AMAZING in 2 pages for people to not ask for a refund and they still might cause they read it in 2 minutes.
