    Im acting on behalf of a friend who has invested a lot of money in a financial trust investment website, almost like a pyramid scheme, and they say the websites have now been offline for 1 week, my gut feeling is they have taken the money and run. Anyones thoughts on this please so I can let her know.

    Is there a way to do a FBI black list check or something along those lines, to see what websites have been blacklisted?

    All help appreciated.

    This is the website;
    swisscash.net.
    swissmutualfund.biz

    I don't feel this will have a happy ending for your friend. If you have not found this out already, check this thread (there are 400 posts in the thread, so you might want to skip to the end).

    I am sorry to hear about this. The swisscash issue has been a big issue here in Asia. Most of the Asian Governments have warned its citizens about them and because they are operating outside most jurisdiction, it is difficult to take down the organization or whatever it is.

    However, countries such as Malaysia has charged several of their promoters and issued a Mareva Injunction against them. http://www.sc.com.my/eng/html/resources/press/pr_20070710.html . You will find the injunction at http://www.sc.com.my/eng/html/resources/press/pr_20070710mareva.pdf

    On the day the websites went down, another related scam Francswiss was shut down by the Filipino law enforcement agency http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/breakingnews/nation/view_article.php?article_id=83363 . This probably created a chain reaction which brought down Swisscash. I understand that Interpol is assisting them here.

    I know some of the promoters are still trying to pin hope for this scam but it been down for over a week now and all their claims of coming back up never came through.

    My gut feeling is pretty much the same as yours. My mum is an investor and I warned her about it since last year but like most other Swisscash investors, they have been brainwashed to obey everything their uplines said and ignore reality or logics. Until now, there are still some faithful believers to this scam, I guess they still cannot accept the fact that it is gone.

    There's not much that can be done. HYIPs like this are experts at running away with the cash. The FBI might not be too helpful either, as it is technically illegal to invest in ponzi schemes like this. Unless they were registered stateside, they probably won't ever track them down.
