I want to make my directory to handle 2 languages. this means that primary language is english, and it uses 1 data base of english text being submited and the template is in english. then a sub domain would use other language and use a diffrent data base with different template.

    1. can i make it work with some mod with PHPLD?
    2. how about the link backs, will the come from the main page or from the sub domain? is that means it i will have a different PR.

You can use Google Translator to get this done.
Have a look at working example of it at http://www.idk.in/

I don't think you need sub domain just to use multi language feature.

What Google has to do with it?

I am from ISrael, i want Israili people submit their websites, they will most probably do it if my directory will be in hebrew and the text they are submitting will be in hebrew as well.
So, is it ok to submit hebrew text into those fields along with english text?
