If there r two backlinks provided to my 1 page by a webpage having a PR>2. Those two backlinks have different keywords. keywords 1 Blue Bears 2 Bear in Tub website: 1: "www.mywebsite.com" Blue Bears 2: "www.mywebsite.com" Bear in tub Now these both links are on the same page . What affects will it have on SERPS. will my website "www.mywebsite.com" rank high for both the keyowrds or will google make it more lower.?? please let me know the details...urgently.. anyone share your idease!!
Since both links are on the same page, why not put the same keywords in one anchor text? Ex: "www.mywebsite.com" "Blue Bears, Bear in tub"
If Page A has 2 links to the same Page B, it has been my experience that it is always best to vary the link text. If you understand how Page Rank is calculated you would know having 2 links on Page A passes double the PR to Page B. I use this technique frequently on commercial sites I SEO for my 8-5 job. For instance, the global/top navigation may only have room to link to the 8 or so most important (money making) product pages on my sites. However, I may link to all 20 or so product pages in my footer (including linking again to the same 8 important product pages that also appear in the top navigation). Then my breadcrumbs on my product page can also add another link to the current page and all of the parent pages. The important product pages that appear in both the header and footer get passed double the PR than the product pages that only appear in the footer get passed. And I get to use 2 different link text for the header and footer links to the product. Then on the product page itself, I will use a 3rd link text for the breadcrumb link to itself. Some people have performed studies which seem to indicate that having multiple links on Page A to Page B with the same link text does nothing or hurts your ranking for the keyword phrase in the link text.
So having the same page link for different keywords will definitly help me raise the rankings in serps....true then!??
