2 domains pointing at the same site

I have a 2nd domain name parked at my server, and it is pointing to site. I dont advertise this domain name in any way, nor does this domain name show any page rank on any page of the site.

I simply bought the names at the same time and plan on using one of them later on down the line for a totally different website.

Do search engines lookd down on this? Or is it no big deal since it is parked on the same address?

Guess all this movement has me a little spooked as I have dropped like a rock, but this domain name has been pointing to the site since the beginning, and it hasnt seemed to been a problem up to this point that I know of.

I would 301 one of them to the other to be on safe side. I had that scenario going with a client. He gave out wrong domain and we appeared to have indexing problem resulting from that.

Keep it a 301 and you should be fine, 302's such as godaddy does can be bad, I found that out the hard way ;(

Or activate it and even put a one page bit of text on it, use it for adsense or something similiar.

If you re-park it, add this to your .htaccess:
Replace 'domain.com' and 'domain\.com' with the domain you intend to market. Typing in the new domain, it will correct to the old one.
