Please excuse me for not revealing my niche/site for the reason is I have not purchased the keyword rich domain yet. For an example I will just use, Dog Training.

Lets say I have a site that is about dog training. It is called, K-9sandMe.net.
I looked up domains available in GoDaddy yesterday and found that, "DogTraining.TV" is available for purchase. K-9sandMe.net has been getting a decent following lately and I really want to keep my domain. Although the site is not even ranked in the Top 600 sites for the key phrase in Google "dog training" and I really want to at least get into the top 20.

    Here is my question:
If I purchase DogTraining.TV and just point that domain name to k-9sandMe.net can I somehow submit dogtraining.tv to google, msn and other search engines to help me in the search engine results? If the answer is, "no", then what do I have to do to the domain dogtraining.tv to be able to submit it to the search engines?

if you buy .TV just for redirection, then i doubt you will get any benefit in terms of ranking. when G visits your TV site and finds that its is redirecting to .Net site - G will then index your .Net site, not the .TV site. main reason i can think of for using this kind of redirection is that you have a domain name that is getting some traffic and you want to change the domain name to something else. since .TV will be a totally new site, getting it registered just to use redirection will not give you any benefit.
