I have 2 domain names that are the same name under the same company, however one is .ca and the other .com Is it ok to have duplicate content on both. Would Google mind this for SEO? I can then use Google webmaster tools to designate the .com to united states and .ca to Canada. Does this make sense? I would however tweak some wording on the .com version.
Thank you, However how can I target the U.S. geographic area? I read that using google webmaster tools i can allocate location. This is the reason why. Right now my .com is allocated to Canada but I also like it to be pointing to U.S.
I would advise against having duplicate content on both sites, what will end up happening is one of your sites will be penalised and not appear in the serps. I would suggest either 1) put unique content on both websites 2) do a 301 redirect from .ca to .com and just work on .com site.
I got a question here. For example I have xx.com site well developed and I am redirecting that site to another domain YY with same contents. Am I violating rules?
