2 directories, which one to promote first?

    ok, i just booked AmazingDirectory dot net

    and i also have 1 month old: WebDirectory dot co.il

    both are undeveloped,

    1. what u think about the name i just booked: amazingdirectory dot net

    2. which one of them would u promote first?

    Whichever you feel like. The names are both equally descriptive of a general web directory, Amazing is slightly more brandable. But it won't be the name that matters, so much as the whole package.

    develop webdirectory, although i think developing any keyword depends only on the quality of the backlinks :)
    You gain backlinks, any keyword or any tld would not matter!

    Who owns AmazingDirectory.org? It seems as though there are a lot of directories with this name. It would probably be better for the OP to start from scratch with a different url.

    You might want to consider to create a specific directory just for Isreal with the webdirectory.co.il domain. And not use the domain to target the US audience.

    Actually this is almost political. Ask yourself the question: Would a US business list their website at an Isreal web directory?

    Go for niche with only Isreal websites, imo the best option.

    Promote both. Link them up. :)
    Name wouldn't matter when you are promoting them. Its the ways your using to promote them.

    If you have money to spend on then buy a premier listing on Yahoo for each of them and watch them get indexed and numerous back links to follow.
