Well this SEO stuff isn't hard AT ALL. I kept reading all this crazy stuff about posting on blogs, etc. All I did was make keyword friendly topic titles and a keyword friendly blog name and BAM 2 days into the new site I've received over 50 search engine hits to my website. I went from 149 visits on the 14th to 337 yesterday and 252 already today! My site was accessed from 44 different keywords, a few of which had me on the first page already, after 1 or 2 days! Http://blackberryvids.com I just have to work on integrating my adsense better to increase clicks. Only making $2.50 a day now. These are search engine stats by the way (For today so far). Visits 51 % of Site Total: 8.66% Pages/Visit The average number of pages viewed during a visit to your site. Repeated views of a single page are counted. Pages/Visit 2.12 Site Avg: 2.44 (-13.38%) Avg. Time on Site The average duration of a visit to your site. Avg. Time on Site 00:01:22 Site Avg: 00:02:15 (-39.69%) % New Visits The percentage of visits by people who had never visited your site before. % New Visits 88.24% Site Avg: 85.74% (2.91%) Bounce Rate The percentage of single-page visits (i.e. visits in which the person left your site from the entrance page). Bounce Rate 58.82% Site Avg: 48.39% (21.57%) Those are my stats so far today I think that's great for a 2 day new launch. If you have any tips let me know!
Hmmm Yea... Check back in about 4-6 weeks and let us know how things are going... Don't forget to publish those same stats then. What you are experiencing is normal. It's affectionately referred to as the Google "honeymoon". They do this for almost all new sites when they first discover them. For a few days, sometimes even a few weeks, they will show pages from your new site on page 1 of the SERPs for what they believe are relevant search phrases. There are many theories as to why they do this... To possibly get some statistics or initial ranking factors needed by the Ranking algorithm that can only be gathered if people see your site in the SERPs (possibly click-thru-rates? not sure if CTR is a ranking factor or not... but is just an example of something that could only be accurately determined if shown on page 1). Or to get late breaking news about a particular topic to the top of the SERPs. But in a few days or weeks the honeymoon usually ends (unless you aquire a lot of backlinks while on page 1 during the honeymoon)... your pages will more than likely disappear falling way back into the SERPs where you naturally rank (and should have been all along). Then the REAL work begins... Let us know how it goes.
You got PR1 in 2 days? Amazing............ Next SEO Guru? I'll subscribe to your email list. no kidding.............
i facing the samething, i just have my site for less then week but it seem like all related keyword been favorite to me ...... for example " Motor Trader AD", i'm on top of my competitor (ten year, few hundred thousand pages index, PR 5) and i'm on top of the site but i only have 6 page index + not even PR0 .... So i believe this should be Google Honey moon else i should be million dollar man, if google keeping this trend
Uhm the site itself has been around for over 10 months and has 350+ back-links. But, 2 days ago I completely started it fresh and my keywords have been off the charts because I've been using "BlackBerry" in all my post titles, etc. So I doubt I am on a "Honeymoon" as the site has been in the search engine for quite some time now.
Please post stats in a few weeks later like Canonical said. You are no different than hundreds of people who post the same thing about them getting lots of traffic for a few days from Google and then all of a sudden their site is no where to be found.
Well, scenarios like this are not new, this simply tells everyone on the web that "Big G Loves Kid". They give boost to new sites like yours, after few weeks, update us on your stats, I'm sure many here will be surprised on the big drop that will happen.
I have a nice success story but it took me 5 days and I now rank number 2 on the front page for a domain I purchased on 4/6 and the site went live on 4/9. I believe the advantages I have are the the domain is the keywords I wanted to target. I also spent time myself and through a paid service creating over 1,000 back links, some nice high PR related sites and directories as well. I hope it isn't the honeymoon but I plan to keep working hard trying to maintain by promoting the site and adding quality back links.
with fast page rank and quick traffic ,I congratulate your effort to SEO your site.keep up do what you do.add more content as ussual and add more link.connect your blog with other
Thanks guys. I understand what some of you are saying about the "honeymoon" but the site has been up for 10 months. It's just recently that i whipped everything and started fresh (two days ago). I'll update stats daily. This is at the end of two days. Today it finished with 42 and my site unique views went up by more than 150. Slowly but surely. Visits 69 % of Site Total: 8.52% Pages/Visit 2.33 Site Avg: 2.38 (-1.92%) Avg. Time on Site 00:01:44 Site Avg: 00:02:07 (-18.24%) % New Visits 91.30% Bounce Rate 55.07%
Every time when you do some backlinks to your site (I mean a lot) there will some sort of bonus, but after a while, when you will build less links there will be surely drop down. But who knows, maybe Google has loved your site
This guy is totally confusing the term OPTIMIZATION unfortunately. It means "making the best of anything". The stats you're showing could be IMPROVED upon if you OPTIMIZE your website like SEOs do. highly possible for LOWEST COMPETITION keywords. Ok, I give you a keyword phrase and you give me those stats. Here is the keyword: "search engine optimization" Kindly make a keyword friendly page and give us top ranks in 2 days....or 7 days.... ok last but not the least 30 days.... One more point....sir can you share some of your highly ranked keywords I just want to check their competition and searches. Regards
Uhm confusing the term optimization which I haven't used at all nin my topics. I said SEO because this is indeed seo and I'm not going to say SE. I doubt any keyword with BlackBerry is a lowest competition keyword big guy. One of the most purchased phones around the world. And No I wouldn't want to share my confused thoughts on keywords with you.
