My niche got over $1 per click today, and i had a nice amount of clicks.

I still think that even 40 cents per click is acceptable, so yes, your clicks are fine. The trick is to avoid smart pricing.Google smart priced my account after the first week i made it, and it lasted for probably a week. I think once they saw i had a lot of uniques from a legit source, they took the smart pricing off!

When you start getting $0.03 clicks consistently, you're smart priced. Of course, some niches are already around that range because they are low paying. However, your first week of income should usually not be smart-priced, so you know about how much you should be making per click.
