    Hi everyone

Does anyone perhaps know how the values in 2-character .net (as example: 6K .net) domains have grown / declined the past few years?

The value of 2 character .net domains has grown over the past few years. First of all, resources are limited and the number of 2 character .net domain names is very limited, so the scarcity has contributed to the increase in value. The cost of registration is also increasing, making the value increase.

I understand and agree with the first argument (scarcity) but not the second one (renewal fees). It's vice versa. When renewal fees rise "significantly", the domain value usually goes down. Potential domain buyers will price in the holding costs of a domain. If the fees rise, there is less money to invest into the domain purchase and it becomes less attractive to invest into the domain in the long run. I am not talking about the acceptable renewal fees for .net domains but some TLDs charge a couple of hundred dollars renewal fees annually.
