2 Character Domain

i have senn lots of ppl seling 2 number and 2 letter domains for huge price. and i heard it against icann rules. so how do they register those domains? what is the punishment

 

It's not against the rules to have one... since the older registered domains can be kept, however new ones can't be registered now..

 

It depends on the extension. Some allow 2 chars, some don't.

These are old registrations, now they are all gone (of course)
They are rare that's why their price is high
Some ccTLDs or other TLD like .info and .biz

 

Yeah its not against any rule. Registry does not allow the registration of 2 char TLDs now but you surely can buy it from buyers.

There are heaps of people that buy & sell 2 character domains. I don't know the source you've got if from, but this does not make sense.

 

i serached any remaining domain of 2 character, then i found a forum which says about this. but cant remember the name of it now

 

Here's a list of available 2-character numbered domains available in the .gs extention. I've got 2 of them (11 & 55). They can be registered @ iDotz.net as they allow 2 character registrations.
