You won't find any free 2-3 letter domain names. Unless you plan on buying one?

If you have significant $$$, I can set you up with 3 letter .com's (Good luck on 2 letter .com's, redirection services wouldn't pay the bills ;) )
Also, you can always try less popular extensions.
For instance, I own and am developing http://www.nc.vc ( North Carolina dot Venture Capital ) Is it perfect as a domain? Nah. But I can't get ncvc.com or nc.com, and nc.vc is brandable.
Many forwarding sites use 3 letter .us's (Cheaper, although all registered, and I have some if you're interested as well) or 3 letter .cc's (Same)
You won't find many 3 letter .com's being used as forwarding services or any other non-prime use (End user or parked/forsale)

send me a pm if you want to discuss http://5nz.com

but I'm with the others, the only 3 and 4 char domains are nonsense phrases. If you want something short you have to go outside the standard .com/.net/.org realm. If it makes sense then it won't matter. People will use it.

I have many short 3 letter, 3 character domains. Let me know your budget and we can discuss this.

By the way the 3 letter .coms are around 2.5 to 3k each.

There you are. Another supporter of ".in" domains.

Forget about those attractive ".com" unless your pocket is bottomless. Mine is full of holes.
