Zalaki: Just because a company does not take PayPal does not mean they are bad, but I can understand what you mean. Until last year, I didn't take PayPal but all my clients wanted to use PayPal, so I signed up. Now 99% of my business is paypal. Companies must learn to adapt and I think if enough people question them, they may decide to. Who knows, maybe they do, can't hurt to send them off an email and ask...

Mesoc: I have never tried netfirms, however, consensus on this board (DP) is that they suck.

We know sweetangel... it's been said a few times already. ;) I always use my Paypal debit card for small online things like this, so it doesn't bother me. Rather than complaining on a forum though, it might be more productive to email customer service and either ask why they don't accept it, or make a suggestion that they should. The company obviously responds to customer demand when it benefits them (like with extending this offer), so if enough people request it, and they realize they could be upping their customer base significantly, they might change their mind.

And thanks bizopps for the transfer info... their customer service person responded and I got it worked out and transferred a few. :) I wish they made it more clear though, and actually listed "transfer" instead of having you click on something saying you want hosting. lol Oh well. I'd rep you, but apparently I've been a bit stingy since the last time, so can't again yet. :(

I have had very good experience with them. The thing I like is that not only are transfers free, but they extend the registration by 1 year when you transfer. I just transferred all of my domains to them purely for the free year. :D

So you mean I could buy a domain for 2.95 from hostmysite and then transfer it for free and get a free one year extension at netfirms. Thereby getting a domain name for 1.475 per year?

Actually, now that I look at it, I'm not entirely sure. My account with them came with a number of free domain registrations, which I never used, so maybe they are giving me the extension in place of a registration. If that makes sense.

Hey guys, I know there's not much time, however, Exabytes.com is offers domain name registration for just 99¢. This offer ends on Mar 12, so you gotta hurry. I am NOT affiliated with them. The link below is NOT an affiliate link. Also, there is a limit to 2 registrations, but hey, 2 domains for $2 is not bad.

Today is the last day of this extended sale, and while ordering today, I noticed HostMySite has added the option of paying with Paypal! So if you couldn't order before because of that, give it a shot while there's still a sale going on! :)

Well, they're not $2.95 anymore, however, they are now offering $4 domains.
