I currently have a website which generates $2-3k in sales monthly (With proof), by selling guides for an mmorpg. I was wondering, exactly how much could I sell it for? Site+Content
Yeah haha, would be funny. "Selling a 2k-3k a month site for 2k" That's like.. "Thanks for making me not wait a whole 1 month" But yeah, thats not including google adsense or any SEO. Adsense gets only like 50-100 clicks a day, but still good extra money. Well, thanks for the reply, I'll be getting the domain verified with Sedo, then I'll put it up for sale
In order to give a good estimation, please provide the following information: 1. How many customers do you have? 2. How many registered users do you have? 3. How old the site is? (in months) 4. What is the growth rate of the business? 5. What is the site's conversion ratio (number of sales per month / number of unique visitors per month * 100) 6. What is the source of your traffic? If you pay for your traffic, how much do you pay per month? With this information one could give you a better valuation of your site but a good rule of a thumb is that the selling price is around 12-24 x monthly profit. So if you are making $2000-$3000 per month (and I'm assuming this is the profit, not the turnover) a rough estimate of your site's worth is between $24000 and $72000. I don't quite understand what you are selling, but if it's a bulk product or if there are any possible legal problems the price of your site could be lower, maybe around $10000. But like I said, it's difficult to say with this little information.
2k-3k for mmorpg guides well not to be harsh or anything but dam thats alot of stupid people out there. I mean sheesh how hard is it to find guides on google? Many sites have free user submitted guides and some game related forums have thier own game guides by user/gamemasters Is it for WOW? If u can post the site up it can help us evaluate. Although with 2k-3k revenue i would sell for atleast 20k. Possibly more if u can prove to buyers its going to be a constant rate and mimimal maintenace of the site helps as well.
Well, the site value depends how you get visitors? if you get more than 70% of visitors from search engines than your site worth atleast 15K IMO
Max 20k I would say, these sites might not have a future in the long term so you probably won't get like 3x your yearly profit.
ok here is the question: why u want to sell that kind of profitable web though? just dun sell. just sit tight and do nothing, the money will come right. its kinda pointless to buy the site if the buyer dunno how u make the money from the site.
Thumbrule is net profitX10 or 12, but again it depends on so many factors like if the product you selling is seasonal? Is traffic natural or you buying it (cos in case if you are promoting it thru adwords, there is no certainity in profit as cpc may change drastically over the period).
