Ah well, I only have to update one. I'd rather that than getting hacked.

...yes, but the WP upgrades are too many and too close... WP needs to move to a planned release schedule and start testing properly, these buggy releases aren't good enough for an otherwise excellent application such as WP.

I was putting off my last upgrade because of a lack of time and finally got it done recently and now I have to find time to do it again.

They upgrade due to security issues bugs problems etc!
and im glad they did! I got hacked!
    and
i highly recommend you do the upgrade asap
    you will get hacked!
    I did!
if you do just delete your htaccess file then install wp upgrade
then make your htaccess file writable(666) go to permalink structure and update! then change your .htaccess files chmod back to 644! and you should be good to go!
at least thats what i did and it worked fine im no pro tho its was my 1st wp install 1st upgrade!and it was super ez!
Just thought id share how i fixed my hack cuz i assume i wasn't the only one to get hacked!

Wow, this is sort of pathetic. You're blaming Wordpress for correcting the security problems? What if they didn't? You'd just get hacked, that's what. And then you'd blame them for THAT. Upgrading is an equal responsibility along with promotion, etc. and it's so much more easy to do at that...

    I recommend you read this:

no, it's more like expecting them to make the necessary changes and test them so that they don't have to do yet another release the week afterwards... they've been around long enough to know better.
