    Hey all,

I recently made a purchase using Western Union, the deal seemed legit, the scammer fooled me with a 3rd party Google Checkout email (even images and trademarks)..

The person said send money to Google Checkout with Western Union and Google will hold payments until the vehicle is sent.. which never happened..

I notified this to WU and told me they review and will response back in a 30 days. Think I likely to get my money's back?

Any suggestions, ideas, tips, comments, opinion to resolve this is highly appreciated..

This scam has been going on for years - any type of research about this type of transaction would have told you to stay away - (Craigslist also warns about these deals). Sorry to say that you will not get your money back unless the police happen to catch them and recover funds - which is highly unlikely. Never use Western Union to send money to someone you do not know - it's like mailing them cash. If a deal sounds too good to be true (like a 2005 Maxima for $2,100) then it's almost always a scam.

I'd hate to see my 2K go down the drain like this.
But I would love to get 2K this easy.
    Sorry for your loss.

With all the information out there, I didn't think people still fell for these scams. How do you basically send $2100 cash to someone anonymously? People gotta use your heads. Some guy is having a blast with hookers and coke on your dime, laughing at you with all his friends.
