offered 30k for a 2k amonth adsense site and it's still for sale am I missing something here why is this site worth more then 24k? seems strange that's all.....

This test will take a few days after which we will know which converts better. If the new monetization works better, he will make an offer and I will tell you about it. If not, adsense usage will be resumed.

@guru16: Nothing is strange
The site has much more potential that it shows now.
1) For example, after two days of layout trial and error, the CTR is much better allowing the site to earn the double.
2) There is minimal work to do everyday (2 minutes are cool).
3) Additionally, the traffic history shows 4 times of traffic than the current (decreased due to not-found errors - hosting issues). It increased by 20% last week.
4) Site is PR6 and has 400K+ indexed pages.
5) Traffic source is search engines (96%). You don't need to do anything.
6) Moreover, we are talking about a professional, authority reference and directory that has value in its updated contents.

@indyguidedotinfo: The current search (since yesterday) works from the monetization network of the guy I talked about earlier. If he will go ahead with the deal, it will stay that way. Otherwise, I will restore the normal Google site search that used to exist.

I am waiting for the offer from the guys monetizing the site now as the earnings are better than adsense. If I receive a final offer from them, I will update the thread with the new offer and the BIN.

Hi rollytan. Thanks for asking.

To publish the accurate updates, I need to wait until Wednesday, September the third, when I shall know if I will get into a certain partnership that will allow me to keep the ownership of the site with a much better monetizing opportunity. This is the major twist.

Minor updates are:

1. Traffic is stable now at a maximum of 6,700 visitors [5 days] and a minimum of 2,200 [2 days] (per day).
2. Earnings of August are $3,100 with two missing days (with different type of monetizing) - and the CTR of the last week is double the CTR of the first three weeks. So, there is a potetial month to come.
3. Highest offer is $40K and I got an undetermined higher offer which will be solid when the sale is unset on hold (this is on Wednesday).

Sorry for not being able to update the thread earlier. There is alot going on with the site that needs to be settled before I can go ahead and resume the sale.

I am back on Wednesday as I promised.

I would like to say I am sorry for not updating the thread more often but a website can be in a different status everyday (you are all webmasters and you know this ) One day the traffic is down, another day a modification that I do makes CTR the double, a third day I make a silly DNS mistake that blocks the visitors from the site for 12 hours, etc.

I will try to summarize the situation in some points:

1. I am half way to finalizing the monetizing partnership deal with a company. I should be able to keep the ownership of the site and make more money than I do now. We should have a preliminary placement of their ads for a week starting next week. If the earnings prove to be higher than I make now, we will go ahead. Although we have been through this test before, the site has a higher CTR and PPC now so this is important to me.

I should be able to update on this after 10 days, hopefully.

2. Traffic is stable except for a day or two when I made some wrong DNS modifications. Normally, a week has 5 days at 5K~6K visitors and two days at 2K visitors with 1.5~1.8 pageviews per visitor.

3. Earnings changed
- Last month's revenue: $3900 ($3200 adsense + $700 for a few days' monetizing at another network).
- After two stages of successful blending, CTR is between 2 and 3 times the original CTR (at the time when I created this thread). Thus, earnings are $116 (lowest day) and $400 (highest day) so far.
- Also, I got paid the first $200 for a new lawyer inclusion


So, I will update again after the earnings comparison is over or if anything else happens.
