$2,000 Contest - MMORPG Sales Page Design (Logo+Header+Website Design)

As you know this contest was also posted on 99designs to ensure that more designers get to see it and hopefully participate. Please click this link: http://99designs.com/contests/13658 to see who you are competing against and the feedback those designs have received.

I have only received 1 PM entry on DP. The contests were posted in the same day both here and on 99. I'm surprised that the DP contest is going slower. Is it because designers are working harder?



EDIT: Several people haven't read the instructions carefully. The website has to be simple but very professional. Please do not make it look cheap. We want to see some real work. We want very good logo (please, no Walt Disney fonts). So far, the entry we liked best is: http://99designs.com/contests/13658/entries/991360

Please remember all the buttons that we want added. Also, that we want a 100% width header, but the body is not 100%. Please use the standard sales page dimensions for the body. Also, please do not make it cartoony. We want our visitors to say "I trust you", not "Look, how cute!"

We want the visitors' attention to be focused on the content of the page, so don't try too hard to make the header too eye-catchy.

NightVision, we can't... although we would have loved to We're kinda on a deadline. I think that the remaining 2 days (almost 3) should be enough to work on something. At least work on a part of the design, it should suffice to tell you if you are on the right track.

Thanks for your submission Sarsh. The header needs to be thinner. Also, the logo could use a bit of work. If you have any ideas about how to make it look a bit more professional, that would be great! We might have more feedback for you later, I'll post it here as soon as I know more.

 

Do you mind if the template was darker colors? or do you prefer a white background

 

No the colors don't really matter. What matters is that it looks great!

 

So are we competing against the 99Designs people or is this a seperate contest? Either way .. I'm working on my entry.

Sarsh: We're not looking for anything in Flash. The logo looks better but I'm not sure that it suggests anything related to gaming/MMORPGs. Can you try some color variations? Also, please remember that the header needs to be 100% width, and the body - centered (click here to see what I mean). Can you also try a version without that World of Warcraft banner?

Some additional feedback: The sales letter and testimonials look good. Again, the header has to be 100% width and my friend doesn't like the Newsletter and Login.

We have just had a wonderful entry by PM from BishopStill, that my friend really loved and would like to award as winner. I have asked him to post his design on this thread so that other designers see which entry we loved best.

We will close the contest on the scheduled date, but you should know that Bishop's entry is in the top of our preference. If you've just discovered this contest I don't recommend entering but if you've already started on a design we will give you time to finish up and submit it.
