    Hey all,

I have a $50- adwords voucher, and wish to use this as a test before investing further. So i am looking for some advice please.

I have a new website i am looking to kick start, so i am wondering how kind of traffic i will get from the $50- voucher, i wish to use the words "Technology Website" or something similar.

Any advice or tips relating to my first campaign would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Learn all you can about Adwords before starting, especially keywords to choose and the kind of ads that get high click rates. CTR is king and the central piece of the Adwords quality score system (as well as Yahoo and MSN/Bing systems).

Do not bid on the keyword you suggest. Too generic. You won't get any returns from it and just waste your $50.

50 $ is enough for a new webmaster... but you cannot use 50$ voucher without giving activation fee and a minimum payment to adwords ..
when you have done so then goto Campaign and create new campaign >>> create ads >> enter key words >> set the bid (the max amount you want to pay for each click to ur ad)

I've taken a quick look at your site. Seems to be focused on gaming. You are not selling anything and obviously trying to monetize with Google ads. You need activity in your forums.

What is your goal? If this was my site, I'd use Adwords to get people into the forums, especially the gaming ones. I'd use the content network and target specific sites where people with those interests go.

create a new campaign with your setting like target, search or content and set your daily budget and you can set it by traffic estimator tool
add your keyword by keywords tool and write a good ads
after that run your campaign and monitor it carefully every day

hi zinghana, before doing anything, try to find keyword based on the keywords for wich you are already getting organic search hits. Take this list, and make variations. Also, try to see what your competition is doing. Het the goodle keyword suggestion tool to scan the comptetirs site for keyword ideas. You can also use a paid service like Semrush.

Also make a seperate add for each keyword: you want the searcher to see their exact keywords in your ads every time. Make the keyword as specific as possible, and make sure your site can deliver to what your adds says. Give them in incentive.

Only go for keywords that cost less than 0.15. After two days, remove all keywords with a CTR less than 4%. This will incease your overall CTR and reduce the CPC in the long run.

    eg:

    Keyword: red gucci handbag

    Good ad:

    30% off Red Gucci Handbags...
    Xmas special - Limited number.
Grab your red Gucci handbag Today!

    Bad ad

    Handbags for sale
    Quality and not expensive!
    Check it out...

    get it?

In my opinion, there's no obvious difference when Google Adwords is dealing with domains with .com, .net, .info or others.

you only need 5 dollars for an activation fee up front and then you can choose to pre pay or post pay the credit that you have is considered pre pay and may take up to 8 to 10 days for your ads to show
