I run couple of wallpaper sites and I've noticed a newcomer: mwallpapers.com Even if they're using a stock script ( http://wallpaperscript.com ), so no custom script, they've achieved top positions in Google for very competitive keywords. Here are some examples: #1 for wallpaper http://www.google.com/search?q=wallpaper #3 for wallpapers http://www.google.com/search?q=wallpapers #2 for hd wallpapers http://www.google.com/search?q=hd wallpapers #3 for 3d wallpapers http://www.google.com/search?q=3d wallpapers How do you think they've done it? Will it be longterm?
The domain was unused for a long time. They've installed the script recently, but age might play an important role
Age does play a role. Number of backlinks also plays an enormous role. Build your backlinks and you'll see improvements. You aren't relying on one keyword for your entire optimisation strategy are you? Hit the longtails first!
I'm wondering if they bought the domain that already had backlinks to it? Of course it seems like buying links does wonders these days.
My Dear Friends, Here all SEO Experts know Domain Age is 1st valuable factor for ranking on search engines. But it doesn't means old domain always rank higher then others, you have to create valuable backlinks for your website. If your website getting ranking on 1st page then you have to do more work to stable your ranking over there if you think you get 1st page ranking on search engine now what's the need to do work ? it's wrong because keyword ranking not stable on search engines.
I know this thread is more than 1 month old. I'm also running couple of wallpapers sites too. I also noticed the same thing. I just found out this links: http://www.africanleadershipconnection.org/link/?L=inkspot.topic&id=8&page=1306 http://www2.acer.co.th/acerthai2/index.php?method=webboard&id=85221&gid=4¤t=422 http://streetpaintingsociety.com/ho...ll,-<a-href=http--www.mwallpapers.com-am.html These links are almost spams. Google must comeup with something for this kind of spams.
Hi All, Yes, I noticed this too, they've come out of nowhere in the last few weeks. Although the domain name is old their content is not. Googles latest algor' has shaken things up a bit but they have good listings for pretty much any wallpaper term you choose on google. I wonder if that traffic link volt has done the trick for them, although I'm v surprised google hasn't picked up on this. good thread btw....
