What does a browser have to do with where a site shows up in google search? My site is ranked number 4 on the first page for my main keyword in IE. With FF it is on page 4... Whats with that?

are you logged in in one of those browsers with a google user?
if so, Google remembers what you like for each keywords and will "customize" the search results.

    cheers!

Clear your cache, and Biz... is right.... Google customizes your search results, sometimes will will see your site at the top spot, but will go back to normal when you reopen the browser...

1# Clear your browser cache (both).

2# Check if you are logged on to your google account in any of the browsers.

3#Check if both of your browser using same connection settings (is any of them using proxy?).

It is more or less affected by change of IP address provided by Google datacenter whenever you change your browser.

This is what have surprised me too, there is something wrong. You should try the above given advises and even then if the situation remains same, report the matter to google.
