Hi what are you views on the RIAA and Music Industry suing all the people that post songs to Internet?
At the same time the music industry is known to pull top artists (that are not on the 4 majors) off of radio with threats and removal of FM rock DJ's and is telling those companies to use the Internet stating that its just as lucrative. (obvious BS).

If the music industry is making claims that the Internet is just as lucrative, then how can they turn face, and put lawsuits on others that are putting music on the Internet (wouldn't that be considered free advertising for them, according to the music industry's own views?)

I'm a National Publisher, and record company entrepreneur that had a five time rated #1 artist pulled from radio when it was rated #1 , and when it took FM radio rock war winnings over artists on companies such as Roadrunner Records, Time Warner etc. They had Viacom fire one DJ (Chris Condayan of highest ratings rock show Capitol Radio in Washington DC).

Legal protections seem to be a one-way street in industry and now as they try to get a sloppy foothold in Internet over the last 12 years or so.
I read that the MPA (Motion Picture Association) went after Shawn the owner of this site Digital Point.

I hold some of the highest career credentials in USA (verifiable) yet, we get backlogged by companies already in place that have failed business models ..where is the law for business experts and entrepreneurs that are not part of the obsolete industry that is in blatant panic and trying to regain some foothold?

I'm also the inventor of over 15,000 products, services. including the battery charging shoes. (heel of shoe in 6 slats that compress when you step down walking -pumping fluid to inductor/turbine on back of shoe -sending low voltage to battery in side velcro/zipper pocket on shoe)
Designed for the eventual release of mobile headset Internet /cell phones.

Pursuit of happiness, Domestic Tranquility , the USA being entrepreneurial and promoting the idea of American Dream all across the world. None of that is enough to stop the failing business models from their tyrannical attacks on ALL entrepreneurs of USA etc?

Many times we see Attorneys that are afraid to take on such cases, so legal rights fail due to bully-ism by the larger failing dinosaur companies.

I'd be interested in hearing your views on this since you're involved in Internet law.
    Thanks

The laws are in place to keep the little guy competitive. However, it is the cost that keeps people from defending their rights.

In the U.S. it's not the court's findings that will kill you, it's the legal fees.

To sue or defend today will cost you between $50,000 and $100,000. Plus you won't sleep for 2 years and you will suffer from anxiety.
