    Hi,

I've tried article marketing about 8 months ago. In general I picked a niche, let's say computers, added 8 sub-niches like notebooks, monitors, harddrives, printers, ... I wrote about 8 articles/sub-niche and manually submitted 1-2 articles a day to about 30 article dirs. Submitted my site semi-automatically to about 700 directory sites (30-50/day).
I used wordpress as an cms and set up adsense. After a few months my site was pr5 and at the moment there's a steady adsense income: $100-120/month. About 400 uniques/day.

Well, I thought woudn't it be nice to have 10 or more of sites like this...

I'd do about 8-10 articles/sub-niche. Things I'd keep: my daily submission (1-2 articles/day), my semi-automated submission to directories.

Now I'd like to get some good advices from other article marketing guys. As I already picked the next niche(s), I'd like to know if I should do (try) sub-nice sites instead of a niche site; let me explain: 1 notebook site, 1 printer site, ... instead of one site where everything about computers is shown.

I added clickbank ads in each article and will do so with my next project, but this time I'll try that articles and clickbank product will fit a little better together.

One thing I won't do again: sell links, coz google slapped me: pr5 to pr3. So imho selling links isn't worth the quick money.

I used wordpress and it worked for me, but I'm curious which systems you use/recommend.

Well, looks like I did my 1st job in article marketing "ok". But as you can read, I've some questions and tipps and advices are very welcome :)

    Cheers,
    sunish

    Computers???

How many more visitors do you think you would get if you did more popular subjects? How much more money do you think you would make?

Be careful of the man hours you put in. You may make, say, $200 this month, but what if you had to put in, say, 5 hours every day for the rest of the month to do it?

    Not very smart, right?

    Well, computers was fictional.

For my last project i spent about 1-2 hours a day for about 2 months. I didn't do anything for the last 4 months and there's a steady income - build and forget. That's nice, isn't it? And there will be a steady income for loads of months/years.
I worked very hard for about 2-3 in the adult biz (webmaster) years ago. At some point I stopped - income dropped - but still had a steady income (app $800/month) for about 3-4 years(!) without doing anything.

    The other question: 1 niche: computers, 8 sub-niches: laptop, printers, ... and 8 articles/sub-niche.
To submit the site I used digixmas. Articles manually.
