Friends, today I got my very first article approved on EZA . Now, I know it's nothing to jump and shout about but ... it's a start, eh ?

So, I am bookmarking it etc... and with over 6 more articles pending at EZA - Do I expect my first sale now ?

Gosh ! Been waiting since over 10 days now - Don't people generally have their first sales sooner ? After how long did you get your very first clickbank sale ?

Article marketing is unpredictable. You might get your first sale within a week, or it can be within a month as well.

You just have to keep writing more and more.

Well yeah, write few articles, track the hops, and see how you are performing...

Check the stats, then tweak your stuff if needed, and then test again.

yes, with article marketing, the name of the game is "low and slow." If you want fast, try ppc

Don't worry about your one article and just keep writing. Even if you get all your articles approved you only have 7 total articles out there, this is nothing, try writing another 43, so that you have at least 50 articles drawing traffic to your site. And don't put all of them on just EzineArticles, put some on GoArticles, Articlesbase, etc...so that all your eggs aren't in one basket.

Lastly, are your articles pointing to your blog that's in your signature, if so, I would recommend cleaning in up a bit...lose the black background, go with white (easier to read), make sure all your post are lined correctly, shorten your posts so that a potential customer will be interested in clicking to the product's sales page, bullet point your posts, etc...Good luck and keep working at it, you'll discover what works and doesn't and that's when you'll develop your own system.

    Hi

Yes, you are right. But I have heard people make money with just 1 or 2 articles even ? Jeez.... guess I am wrong , eh ? Need to pull up my socks and start working.

Thx for the tips but that was my new blog - added another one to the signature. Hope this looks a bit better ? LOL.

I have 1 article each up at eza, articlesbase and goarticles. problem is, all r pointing in different directions. I just cannot fix a niche right now coz i just don't know whats gonna work :( any tips on what to work on, what to skip ?

    hey simplyjo,

don't get disheartened ... in ezine, check how many times your article is getting read ... experiment with the titles etc to see if you can get more people reading them ...

from there, check how many times your links are clicked on from each article ... try and improve this ratio too ...

basically what i'm saying is keep refining things, make everything work better and better and you should get there ...

also, the tackling 3 niches at once when starting might be a bit difficult ... maybe focus on one niche first, the one that you think has most potential, or one that is getting you the most hops so far ...

also, consider setting up a squidoo lenses etc making use of some of your article content ...

    just some ideas :D

Honestly? I know some people who submitted 20 or 30 articles before ever seeing a sale. You might get lucky but article marketing is dependent on so many factors - it's hard to say.

60 hops isn't bad, but if you get over 200 without a sale then you need to think about whether the product is good enough or whether you are preselling it well enough.

well my first article got expert author status - i guess that means more views ? so far only 20 views there though.

thx for the tips and help . once i have few articles up and see how it goes, maybe i'll be able to finalise a niche i wud like to focus on - right now, i am just not able to - not much hops yet so once they start coming in, i can simply discard the products which r not working for me.
