1and1 100mb Db limit

    on my 1and1 account, there is a 100mb db limit.

    is that a problem for popular sites?
    For instance, what do you suppose the db size is for DP forums?

    I worry abit for future growth of some of my sites.

    any advice?

    When you grow, just move to a better site. Ofcourse the size of DP forum will be in GBs, but that happens to only 1 in 1000 or so forums. There is 90% chance that you will never grow above 100 mb size, even though it is pretty small. So, stop worrying about the size as of now and concentrate on getting traffic to your site.

    they set 100mb limit for each DB is because they're shared server... just purchase their dedicated servers
