mizt - Can you post the full headers of that mail?

Maybe then we can further establish who is sending them ;)

ie. Does Alex Trujillo = Costas Dedes ?

Do you have the header to the original E-mail that started this thread? If you do, also post that header. (You save spam, right??!!)

Even if it is, doesn't the site owner have any responsibility to persue those who are selling their product by spamming?

He originally posted here that he took steps to ensure there would be no more spamming. Doesn't seem to have worked for Costas Dedes OR Alex Trujillo

You can't keep tabs on what all affiliates are doing. He said he stopped one, you can't stop 'em all. That's how it is.

You can't be spending all your time tracking what your affiliates are doing - as long as the money's coming in and you act when you're notified of the spamming affiliate, what else can you do?

The only way to stop spamming 100% is to shut down all affiliate programs that promote his program, so no one else can make money from it.

So then he is completely insulated from any critisism because someone else is supposedly doing it  . And not just insulated but if anyone here complains, its grounds for a lawsuit???

Whens the last time you got a Spam mail with an affiliate link to the DP Coop? ;)

    Aye which would be silly.

yfs1: Every article that gets submitted to you, do you copy and paste phrases into Google to ensure they aren't just copied from elsewhere (you'd be f*cked if people we're copying off-line books hehe) and your authors aren't violating copyright and such? There's nothing stopping me from going to a site, ripping all their articles and submitting them to your article depot so I can get back-links, traffic and such, and you wouldn't be the wiser until notified by the original author if they found out one of your authors we're passing off their articles as original.

There's nothing Costas can do but take action when he's informed of a wrong-doer. I'm sure you understand that!

    "What you in for thug?"
"Playa, I got 9 years for spamming your inbox!"

Or maybe this dude is really stupid and acctually does it direct

Actually I do spot checks but a submission site is completely different from an affiliate.

    Also:
1.) I don't threaten to sue anyone that complains about recieving Spam Emails.

2.) My site itself does not break any TOS, In this case he has already acknowledge he breaks the Article City TOS and by using his software he is causing his purchasers to violate the AdSense TOS

Or maybe his product converts well and affiliates like to promote it to e-mail lists.

Who said it's even spam; they may well of got your e-mail address from a newsletter you're signed up to.

At the end of the day, who actually gives a fuck what Costas may or may not be doing, or his affiliates?

The issue is people blaming Costas for what affiliates are most likely doing.

I'm amazed you have taken that view based on the fact that your first 20 posts here were hijacks demanding to be told exactly what "Built for AdSense" in reference to the TOS means.

If this thread did anything it showed you a perfect example.

What build for AdSense means is irrelevant.

It sounds like it's just an issue you have with his program that you don't like which is making you poke, prod and blame the guy for what his affiliates are probably doing.

And by the way, its hardly a witch hunt. mizt posted a Spam he received a long time ago. The thread got a couple of replies then went away.

Suddenly Costas Dedes come in threatening lawsuits against everyone involved and demands the immediate removal of this thread. Nintendo folded but there are a lot of people, including Shawn, that don't go down so easy.

Its hardly a witch hunt when he is the one to revive the thread and put his software under scrutiny. If someone is going to make all those threats, they are going to be called on it.

    Hardly a witch hunt.
