There are two sides - The product and the affiliates

The product is basically a program that scrapes another site and adds your AdSense code into it. His pitch is the money you make via AdSense.

The affiliate side is reselling this program and making a percentage of every copy you can get someone to buy.

The thread is more about Costa Dedes and his threat to sue anyone talking about the program in this thread. The original post was because someone was recieveing Spams selling the program.

The thread died until Costas Dedes threatened Shwan with a lawsuit if he didn't take it down. Now its huge and is starting to rank more and more.

There is a sucker born every minute and many people want to get rich without any effort so they buy programs like this. THere are tons of them out there

I went to a site called http://www.marketingsyndrome.com - because I googled SWAPCLIX in hopes of trying to figure out exactly what Costa Dedes was selling. The guy who runs that blog has up a "site template" that includes an adsearch. Are such adsearchs allowed in the TOS?

Seems to be that this Costa fellow is causing a lot of drama here

All I can see there is he is selling Costa Dede's program through an affiliate link

Not sure what you mean by "Are such adsearchs allowed in the TOS?"

I don't know the "AdSearch" that you are reffering to

Can I get some "papers" too? :D
If I was your "team or lawyers" (I mean your daddy), I would sue you for defaming the family name.

You do realize that if you would have approached this like a mature human being and simply explained that an affiliate sent out the email in question, this thread would have been dead and forgotten. But since it was your pathetic attempt to bully someone (especially DigitalPoint...haha) that got you, your business and your family in hot water, then you got just what you deserved. Perhaps you should just take this as a lesson learned and move on.

Unfortunately, I don't think he has learned much from this. Maybe he has? At least the tone of his posts appear to have changed from the earlier ones. A few reasonably argued / discussed posts would have gone a long way ... probably still could. Or am I being naive?

Ugh... What some people would do for money, I hate these things. Great going on that $1 a day google adwords campaign - very considerate of you to point people to this thread so they're alerted :)

Earlier in the thread I was asking to give this guy a little slack but the more I read up on the subject he seems to deserve all the bad press he gets, just hope he doesn't get any conversions out of it.

I suspect all this exposure is actually helping his sales...Not sure if that will be the case long term or not.

I only started looking into his software and other dealings more and more because he decided to threaten me early on. I probably would have grown bored quickly if not for that (as well as others)

I basically decided if he was going to sue me, I might as well find out what I was up against. Low and behold his "huge legal team" was his father and he never even bothered to file a single thing.

His taunting of Shawn was funny as he never even followed up with all his threats.

To each is own, but if someone goes around threatening to sue you if you even mention their name (at that point it wasn't even negative), they deserve what they get if they push you to fight back.

Costa Dedes thought he could rule by intimidation. It seems to have worked in other forums but luckily Shawn isn't like other forum owners

It is nothing like envelope stuffing...You may want to read the thread before jumping on the bandwagon.

I'm all for putting Costa Dedes software under scrutiny but at least take a look at what it does. I don't think I have ever used the word Scam (only posted the SE results). My main concern is his threatening behaviour but my issue with his software was its potential to get you an AdSense ban.

That has nothing to do with the "Envelope Stuffing" type of scams
