    I am hoping that this is the right spot for this. Many folks want to have high dollar programs like Camtasia and Photoshop but the price tag is simply too high.

    I had read about how to make your own cs3 at Download.com, but if you think twice, nothing beats PS.

    And PS is also very popular. And has many features too. I cant imagine working on GIMP.Had tried it once, but PS is still the one for me.

    I use PS as well but I have taken a look at PhotoGimp real briefly and it has the look and feel of PS. I am not saying that it is as good as PS BUT if you can't afford the $400 for PS, it could be a good alternative.

    gimp is very good and free.

    of course photoshop has a huge community a lots of plugins+official suport.
