Lunarpages Review - LunarPages is SCAM!!

Stay away from Lunarpages, once you get decent traffic your account gets suspended you are literally forced to pay 100$ a month to get back in business. worst host ever. stay away from lunarpages. LunarPages is SCAM

 

What is your web site? What the official reason they refuse to provide you service?
I'm guessing the problem was in the server and CPU load?

 

server and CPU load is main cause of site close ....

 

are you sure they "force" you to paid $100 a month (maybe to purchase a dedicated server)? Or they are just asking you?

 

From someone who has been on the other side I can tell you server resource abuse is one of the worst things to deal with. Depending on how severe the resource abuse issue is determines how a provider handles it. For example if the abuse was a short burst causing temporary server slowdown than the provider may be able to allow you to keep it online while informing you of the issue and offer advice on how to handle the situation either by moving to another temporary server or upgrading to another plan. Then there are times where the abuse causes the server to shutdown completely causing other sites on the server to be down. Obviously, the latter is unacceptable and will get your site suspended immediately while pending a resolution. There is no other way around it since you're on a shared account and sharing the server with other customers. From the providers perspective it's better to have one customer complain than to have hundreds of customers complain. I know lunarpages sends out a very thorough email when server resource abuse happens and how to proceed. I would follow their advice. Good luck!

 

If your receiving that much traffic, I wouldn't be using shared hosting at all.

 

What exactly did they tell you?
If your sites were making high CPU load,then they can suspend your websites.But I don't think they will ask 100$ for restoring it.Maybe they are asking you to shift to a VPS or Dedicated Server and 100$ might the price of that.

 

Maybe you should read the TOS before you join. My guess you were running a proxy and they shut you down saying you need to get a dedicated server ($100).

 

You need a VPS or Dedicated Server if you're getting huge spikes of CPU/RAM usage.

 

I also got suspended.
2 low traffic wordpress and 1 low traffic phpbb seems too much for them to handle...

 

Paying a few bucks per month and using it like a dedi is impossible man,
