    Hey guys

I have got 17 domains ( similar names, diff extensions ) that I would like to point to my main site.

    I have a 301 ( permanent redirect ) on each of those.

Is this good ? Or should I make landing pages for each of those domains and put a link to the main site ?

    PLease help :)

    Thanks .

NJOKER --> my aim is to gain all the hits and profits from the main site. I was just asking if the search engines would like all the 17 domains pointing at the same site - or different landing pages giving the Main site links.

i did read somewere that you can get banned from google having more than 2 domains pointing at same site. not sure. but i wouldnt do it for sure.
more value if you build simple landing pages. with links instead

    Google may get you banned!
It may prove bad decision to do something like this!

Not a good idea! Link them rather than forward.

google has over 200 ip's pointing to the same domain, cnet download.com use to have thousands of names pointing to them. There are many others, large sites or networks have hundreds of ips pointing to the same page.... they have to for database rotations etc

I don't understand the possible use for having so many domains pointing to the same domain. Google won't like it.

itmay useful but do those domains have anybacklinks? if they have backlinks, you may make profit using 301 redirect to one domain.

if you use a sigle page for all of them then you have 17 sites, otherwise you have only one.

On the other hand if you can use a different ip and make small sontent then you gett 17 different backlink, from 2,3 different ip.This sounds great, but 17 redirect is useless.

The way I see it, if all those are either acronyms of the same domain or the same word in other TLD than a simple parking on the main site will do.
