Hello I have been watching a competitor of mine with backlinks, and it looks like, their own site excluded, they have done 15,000 paid links, some of these are mini sites and dead blogs, others are live blogs by real people being paid to have their link. How do I get away with doing this myself without getting penalised? Did they do this before Google said paidlinks are ok? How do you get away with paid links (dofollow on links - I hate nofollow discussion) The site http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/search?p=http://www.fitness-superstore.co.uk&fr=sfp&bwm=i
Believe me, it's not worth the risk unless you are prepared to start all over with a new site if you get caught. If you have nothing to lose, go for it. If you have a lot to lose, don't do it.
You know very well that google is against paid links and penalize those who go for it but the question is how long will you escape the long arm of the google?
I dont see why they would get penalized... (They are a Quality site that has Authority Status)they are linking to "relevant niche sites" what your supposed to do.. Now unless you can "prove" they paid $$ for links, (and its actually easy to see if they did or didnt) Dont Hate and start backlink building your site..or use Adwords PS...Yahoo Counts every link (unlike google) and 17,000 in Yahoo is a site "barely" being promoted and is just naturally there due to various factors including there keyword rich domain name and other things im not going into. laterz malcolm
This kind of backlink is risky. they are building too fast and it is paid link. Better not to use them
But there are so many TOP level and TOP authoritative sites that are paying for links - what about paid web directories - they charge for submissions..
17k links is a sure red flad for Google. If you want to do it over a period of time. Like a couple hundred links a week
I would not do it. Almost instantly adding that many backlinks would definitely get google's attention, and not in a good way. I dont think that being paid links matters. How do they know. It is just too many links to fast.
Google even ask people to reporting inappropriate paid links users to them. So those that buy hundreds/thousands of links without even knowing probably where they are from. Not caring about the quality of the site they're being linked to from. https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/paidlinks The help icon then says:
17,000 paid links? I don't think so. The odds of being penalized for this are huge, and once you are in fact penalized, it is very difficult to make up for it. They are of some use, if you keep the number within certain limits and make sure they contribute something to what your site has to offer.
I think buying 15k links a bit too risky, but you should not have any problems if you buy just a few links. Just focus on quality links.
Too many links rising suddenly may be considered as spam in terms of SEO, slow and steady wins the race.
Hello... Just to clarify what i ment above... If you get a sitewide link on a forum or a site thats the same niche (whether you paid or not) then many times your Yahoo links will count them all as they are indexed so you could very well have 10-20 thousand links in a matter of a month from just one site, so to say 17,000 is alot.. really isnt. Your safest bet is to do banners and advertise your site in this manner so that you get visitors/traffic looking for what you have to offer which turns into sales. laterz malcolm
According to Google paid links are a no no, but lets face it lots of webmasters do it and I would say a lot get away with it as-well. But its a gamble
