Very good impressions but I think you should follow the Google guidelines for greater achievements to get click on your add.
Yes, Spike, the problem is your traffic - stumbleupon users rarely click on ads, especially on those who are strangely targeted. However, the good thing is that if you manage to keep that traffic up, you can sign up for some CPM advertising website and earn based on visits, which I think in your case (of social networking generated traffic) is best.
As you said, some of your ads show irrelevant ads. Do make sure you add more relevant keywords in your META Tags and Descriptions. Also, play around with your Ads position, color and size on different pages and track the CTR with Channel tracking. Do some research and you will notice that which page/channel will give you better CTR and adsense earning. By then, use that "best adsense result page format" to apply into other pages. Hopefully, your will see better improvements.
my site is not getting many clicks either. Getting a few hundred impressions per day but not many clicks. I have content and relevent ads. let me know what you guys think of my website. heres the link: http://www.budgetboxer.com
This is probably due to ad placement, because that many views on a week old website is pretty amazing.
I have a feeling all your traffic to your new site are bought from traffic sites... If that is true, save your money for something else.
Try to target high paying keywords, no matter how many impressions you've got as long as you have higher clicks and targetted high paying keywords
hey man u r doing gr8... 18K impressions in just a week.... but the sad part is 1 click... just focus on ads space... don't spread it like that make sure that which place gets the better visibility. If you have too many ads in ur page then reduce it. now a days people are aware of these things. so make it a point that you display ads in relevant places and at the same time do some thing attractive.
Is your content built around a keyword or group of keywords or is not concentrated enough? I have a higher CTR on sites that center around 1 single keyword, eg Buddha statues.
I am also facing the same problem with my blog. I am using digg and pongomatic for traffic. But the results are not satisfying me.
