17,000 Impressions = 1 Click???

I opened my site a week ago and the first couple days I only had about 200 impressions a day but yesterday I had 2,000 impressions and only 1 click for 3 cents. Today I got 18,000 impressions and only 1 click for 47 cents. I am wondering if 18,000 impressions and one click in one day is good or bad for a week old website. I would also like to resolve the another problem. Some of my ads may not be relevant sometimes, so I am not sure if that's a problem with my click ratio. Please help me out. Thanks!

18000 impressions is very good, but 1 click for all that, that's really bad. As for ads that aren't relevant you can block those url's, though google is usually pretty good at serving relatively relevant ads.

The problem is that your ads aren't relevant what so ever.
There was a motivational ad because motivational was in your tag cloud.
There just isn't any humor related text for the adsense to generate humor related ads.

Ity's not on adsense part, he needs to use better wording in his website. The majority of the text in there is tags.

The ads should be relevant and you have to improve your ad placements in this case.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll figure a way to put some content. However, I would appreciate if you guys could review my ad placement. Also, have you guys had any success with image ads, I was thinking of trying those out. Thanks!

Why are you using Wordpress and not an image gallery script? You'd be getting loads of extra functionalities, plus ways of adding content and targetting your ads... Try coppermine or 4images!

I prefer you to use adbrite when you have awesome Traffic and enormous Impressions you are receiving. They pay 0.01 for 1000 impression even you are not getting clicks you are paid something.

I did something similar here are my stats

    Ad zone views
    33,764 (2 Days)

    Clicks
    26

    Earnings
    $1.95

    Far better then adsense

My experience with the Stumble Upon Traffic has been that they don't click that much. Same goes for Digg and Reddit Traffic.

How much time do they spend on your site ?
