not a sale, how many clicks does it usually take you guys to get a sale? I paid 2.60 for all my 12 clicks which isnt too bad. Should I expect one sale out of 100? I will make anywhere from 5-20 bucks a sale.

Depends completely on your website, what you're selling and for how much.

12 clicks with no conversions is unremarkable - one conversion would give you an 8% conversion rate, which is high for most sites (and totally unattainable for others).

That said, if your average order value is only 10-15 dollars (was that what you meant), then you're going to struggle to make a lot of money paying over 20 cents per click - a 5% conversion rate would cost you $4 per conversion, which is probably in the same ballpark as your margin on the sale(?) (complete guess, obviously).

As I say, 12 clicks isn't very many - were you limited by the number of searches, or your daily budget? If it's the daily budget, I'd suggest dropping your bid, as you'll get more clicks, rather than less. If it's a lack of people searching for your keywords, can you find more keywords that will help? Maybe try the content network (if you have plenty of budget, and really want more traffic)?

Your clickthrough rate is healthy - I take it that your ad is appearing in quite a high position?

You are going to have to wait for a lot more clicks and data before you make any assumptions.

I agree with CustardMite, your CTR is decent, you just have to wait.

thanks guys. The problem is I only have around 60 bucks to spend. Well my ad was in the top 4 on the first page, according to overture gets right over 7100 searches per month, the 163 impressions was only in a 8 hour time frame. So it seems my niche does get some traffic which is good and its very directed towards buying something I think. The problem is now im bidding 20 cents and im on the 3rd page, earlier this morning I was on the first. It seems if I increase the bid to say 1 buck then move it down say 20 cents every 10 secs until I reach 20 cents again I will stay on the first page for about a hour now. I was on the first page for a good while yesterday with only a 20 cent bid, now its not working. Why have things changed so much? Also the items people are buying are expensive, I would rather link directly back to my affliate site since they are well known and trusted. I think my main problem right now is my landing page isnt totally professional enough looking when someone is considering purchasing a 50-300 dollar item. So I ask, godaddy has a feature where it lets your website redirect to another website, could I just leave my page as it is for the optimizing purpose and redirect to my affliates site? Anyone ever done this? Thanks

IMO, you need to focus on cost per click, not position. Perhaps try add more keywords that do not cost so much.
