You know what's the key to success in general? 1. Be smart 2. Out smart other people 3. Have big connections I saw some of his works and I wouldn't say that they're mind blowing. I also wonder if he does them himself or he stopped doing them and now he's just like a pretty face in a band. Well good luck to him. Nice job! He deserves it. Don't be a hater.
Taking a look at his account posts: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/search.php?searchid=12024797&pp=25 Looks like he did A LOT of selling here. Without this place, I take it that $6,500 will take a heavy hit.
May seem like a lot to make, but seems he's earned his way to that check. It's interesting to see where young folks end up when they control their thinking and habits. It all boils down to self-control. That's why I always liked the phrase similar to "it is not the wind that directs a man's life, but the way he sets his sails"
Donny's stats and background is questionable. He purchased battleforums.com a few months ago (december i think) and ive been a member of it for 4+ years, when i saw him take over i did a background check, and found out he says hes 16, 21, 14, etc etc i THINk hes around 18 years old hes actually the reason i discovered this forum, during my background check on him i found him signed up to thsi site (also, i THINK he was banned from this site 1-2+ times) but either way, yes, hes impressive at what he does. from what i know, nowadays he outsources just about everything, he finds the site(s) he wants, and has other people do the actual work.
There are a few 15 year olds out there making 6 figures a month as well. It seems younger and younger people are becoming the new rich. Currently Forbes estimates Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg (23 yrs old) as the world's youngest billionaire (totally base on MS bid in FB but none the less he received mention), and the LA Times states that by year end, Miley Cyrus (Disney's Hannah Montana) may become the world's youngest billionaire at age 15 (although she has a heavy helping hand from her famous Country singing father and Disney to thank for that.
Amazing article, just goes to show you how far a little confidence and motivation will take you when you apply yourself!
I'm 20, a student and broke. This is making me green with envy rather than inspired! lol, kidding, this kid is remarkable.
It's sad to see this guy waste his youth running a web business. He should be spending his time being a kid, not trying to pay off a $25,000 bank loan. I grabbed this quote from the article:
I think someone helped him. It's just hard for me to believe that he started developing websites at the age of 12 all by himself. He probaly has a mentor or something. But I can relate to not being just an average somebody (his answer to the first question). LMAO about the fact the he started learning HTML by hacking Neopets, I remembered Neopets was big back in the day.
Hes not Chinese, stop stereotyping all Asians thinking that every Asian is Chinese. Just wanted to point that out as it gets annoying how some people just sterotype all Asian people as Chinese. That's like sterotyping all Hispanic people as Mexican.
