It's not a rebuttle, you are only trying to change the subject. We were talking about Adsense and how people make sites purely designed to gain revenue from Adsense. Rebutt that subject Not about a site that is in my signature which as far as you know may have been the first site with that product on the net. It's got absolutely nothing to do with Adsense.
If in fact your credit card applications site was the very first credit card application site on the Internet the you have a valid argument. Soooooo....was it then? AmCy
Guys and Gals, its ok to make money on the internet, everybody wants to make money. Newspapers, TV stations and all other kind of publishers, are in it for the money, they get their money through advertisements. And, if you are a quality publisher, you win the game. If you try to cheat or publish rubbish, they will throw you out. Ofcourse methods on the net are different, but the outcome will be the same as IRL, maybe not now, but they will be. And this blaming and accusing of each other, gee.... Let it go. You win the game with quality, and not with greed.
I think we are already seeing the beginning of the end for Adsense if G does not curb the abuse. The public will begin feeling the same way about Adsense-laden sites as they do about pop-ups, flashing banners etc. Once they become identified in the public mind as the spam that they are, Adsense is cooked. Stick a fork in it. Just another instance of killing the goose that laid the golden egg... Andi
Although your comments are a little too blunt this is what I am trying to say as well. I will agree there are MANY sites out there now that are purely 'made for AdSense'. Yes it's a pain in the ass when I am trying to find something and sites are laced in nothing but AdSense banners. Amyc I would be a little more strategic in planning your themes. Again, ask yourself why am I building this site? To me, the answer should not be AdSense. If it is, the end may come soon as I am seeing LOTS of abuse out there (not saying you are abusing). I would hate to see Google take corrective action and you happen to be one of the publishers that takes the fall. I have seen website's that bear ONLY adsense banners. No other links on the page at all...that's just plain old wrong.
So now AS is spam? Well, I'm officially backing out of this thread! Let me communcate this before I go: I'm in business, and business is all about competition. If I think I can build "a better mouse trap" of a website, then I am going to do it. What's better? Better content, of course! So whether we are talking about my wolofonline.com language site, or one of my many credit cards sites, the bottom line is I've developed these sites because I've saw what we out there and thought that I could do better (the only exception being my custom parked pages.) So once I have a site up and running, of course I am going to want a return on my investment of time and resources, and AS is the best solution (as most of you will agree.) Furthermore, AS ads display ads that are related to my sites' contents, unlike the ads of other similar programs out there today that simple can't hold a candle to AS. I am not going to apologize to anyone for putting AS ads on my sites. Never. If the ad turn you off then you don't have to stay. Simple. Calling AS spam is extreme and an unfair criticism of a great progam. That's all folks. AmCy
what a useless waste of energy - why not create sites with good content and earn your Adsense revenue the legit way!
How long is going to take to shut these guys off, for crying out loud! It is pretty obvious, they are saying click here or I won't give you anything.
