This is incredibile. This hard drive advert shows a 15mb hard drive for a whopping $2495 I recently got a 320 gig external drive for $250
The ad is old, and it shows how electronics and gadgets depreciate over time. One good reason not to buy it at retail prices.
Of course the ad is old. 1970's to be precise. It certainly is waiting 6-12 months before buying your gadgets and electronics. I am off out to buy a Dreamcast
I already have two. Got them both for less than $100 Umm............yeah, but you'd be surprised by the number of people who always buy their sh*t brand new from the store. My brother paid $800+ for a PS3, and a brand new Wii. Even though I can buy many PS3s, I choose to refrain from wasting my money on that worthless BS. Its interesting to see this ad though.
The ad is purely for nostalgic and humor purposes. I suppose there is a lesson in there as well. I also could afford many, many games consoles and games, but I get my games from E-bay second hand and I waited 10 months before buying the 360. I am not tight, but I don't like being conned.
Wow, technology does advance fast. Well, if you wait until the prices go down, something new will just replace it, and it's an endless cycle.
That is an excellent point. However, with certain products you can find a sweet spot. Example: You could wait 10 years to buy the PS3, but by then there will probably be a PS5 however, if you wait 12 months you should be able to save a fair amount, and by then you can get all the launch games for a very low price. The only downside to this is the multiplayer gaming. For example, I bouhgt Tiger woods 2006 when 2007 came out, I got it really cheap, but hardly anyone is online for the multiplayer anymore.
Lol Im gonna have to jump on that deal! I put a song on my hard drive recently and its 75% filled now!
