15k Uniques How To Get More Money?

I have a site that gets around 15000 uniques per month. Business niche. But putting adsense on the site only gets me around $300 a month.

Is there any way to get more money out of my visitors aside from adsense? I can't get any affiliate programs for it because its a local business niche. Not too many affiliate programs for it on CJ.

I really appreciate any generous suggestions.

 

I'd recommend you to play around with the placements of ads and format of ads. There are many good articles on net about ad placements and ad formats to get a better CTR. Search the google for the articles. Try the suggestions on your site and your CTR may increase. But in turn, do not try to break TOS of google adsense, go through the TOS of adsense before you try the tricks to increase the CTR. It may be possible that a few tricks can break the TOS and you can loose your account.

 

Perhaps you could write or get someone to write you an eBook relating to businesses and then sell it on your site; similar to SitePoint.

 

publish some articles on relevant sites and have the links from the article to ur site. u will get good amount of traffic. ultimately u can get more thru adsense.

try to place the ads in different places..

 

Only $300?!? I get 50k uniques a month and Im getting no where near that much.

 

Not so sure what is your CTR and CPC. If your CTR is lower than 4%, you can still improve your earning through the ads optimization.

 

what exactly is the niche? For example, if it's stock trading, there are some high paying affiliate offers you could give them. Also, I presume you are building a list as you go? That's where some of the big money is!

Adsense isn't that simple .You just put in yours ads and start making 30k$ from it . But 300$ means people are clicking on it but very few (as compared to no of visitors).The best tip I can give you is change your ad placement and see how it changes your ctr . And give you website address so that people here can give you targeted help .

 

15k is not bad... As u cant use affiliate network... I suggest you to sell private ads.... so that u get guaranteed income....

 

Experiment. Try different products/affiliate programs, change your adsense ads size/placement, and ask some veterans to review your site to help give you specific ideas on what might work.

Traffic is not a problem at the moment and I'm continually improving that. Just that I think I'm not making much that I'm suppose to be.

You have to stop stumbling man. Focus on organic traffic.

Yes its absolutely higher than that. And the ad placement I have right now is the best because I have tested it.

It's about business opportunities (brick and mortar). I can't find affiliate programs for it in our country. All I found are US based programs. Oh yeah I'm getting those emails. Just dont know what to do with it.

I don't think bidvertiser can pay that much. Also, I don't do paid post. I dont want to mess up my site.

I used to have $100 a month then tested a few ad placement. The one I have right now that brought me $300 is the best so far. I dont think I can beat that. Unless some veteran can take a review of my site and give me some tips?

That is a good idea. I did try contacting local businesses to advertise. I never heard a reply. It's either my site is bad looking for their taste or its that they're a cheap bastard.

Any other strategies? Does selling impressions good?

Personally, I think you are doing good for the amount of traffic your getting. 15,000 uniques might sound like a lot, but its not.

Inside your adsense account there are some tips direct from google on where to place your ads. And there other options, such as banner ads, link ads and search boxes.

Ok so I did some tweaking last night and my ctr jumped. The ad placement I did was good. It's just that there's a lot of distraction. Will test it out and see how much it will improve on Feb.

I guess so. Maybe I should just focus on getting more and more traffic as I can optimize anytime instead of whining about it.

I made more money using amazon affiliate.. try it.. Marketing is the best way.

Depending on what's your niche, you could try to find some product that might interest your audience and then blog about it. Include a link to that product to amazon or CJ, etc and then see what happens. Could be a great way to make some decent income.
