Ok, my goal is to make $15,000 in the next 6 months. Let me start by saying that I'm 15, but in the last 6 months have made a few thousand through creating flash games (Probably around $5500, but 90% of that was make last month alone). Before I didnt do any webdesign, and only made content for others, but since my first site is opening (a game site in which about $400 has been invested in) and I'm starting to code websites my self, I'm trying to make $15,000 in the next 6 months. The profit will mainly be from Adsense (and Adbrite) and flash creation, although Im trying to get a majority from Adsense. Ill try to post an update as often as possible to tell you how Im doing. I'm planning on promoting the game site by putting out games with the game sites logo in it, like most flash sponsors do. -Kyle
Theres a 15k in 6 months challenge currently going on with a few digitalpoint members. I've interviewed them which you can see here: http://www.profitbaron.com/2007/11/12/interview-15k-in-6-months-challenge/ I don't know if its too late maybe you can join in with them
Good luck.Like stated above,i would also add some aff.programs, like CJ or some other CPA offers.AdSense is very very low on game sites.
I don't think Adsense will be your best advertiser. I would check with a CPA offer network like speed100 recommended.
THanks for the advice, Ill take a look into an affiliate program. Yeah, sure. I have a pretty cool game that I cant show anybody right now, becasue Its not completly done and I dont want it online yet but here are some older games Ive made: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/408261 http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/393128 http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/384954 and I have about 10 others, but those are the better ones (The different logos at the start are the websites that sponsored them btw, I plan on sponsoring my own games to get higher traffic)
$5k at 15 years old hmm.. ! I started IM at 15 as well but only made $100 a year later - now at 17 I'm hoping I can get an American Express by 18 . By the way, GOOD LUCK!
If you really did make a few thousand through creating flash games in six months, you should write an e-book, or a "report" on how you did it and sell it for, say, $10.00 Put it towards your goal.
I am officially impressed. Are you really only 15? if you are you have inspired me to give making money on the internet a good go. Thanks for the post as I'm sure that the fact you are 15 year old (obviously a very talented one) and making decent money online has inspired others. Keep up the good work and let us know how it gets on
Yeah, I am 15, and thanks Hoping to be able to make even more than I am making now pretty soon also. -Kyle
Best way to make money off flash games: 1. convert them into .exe using a software 2. Bundle pay-per-installation software with the game 3. Make the game viral - by either making it multi-player, or giving a cheat-code to people only when they refer their friends. When people download and the game and install it - you get paid anywhere from 45 cents to 2 dollars. If your game is very good and catches on and a few thousand people download it, you've earned a few thousand dollars! All you have to do then is create more games and send to those same people...
Thats a pretty good idea, but you can get a lot more than a couple thousand through different ways. The flash game Bloons got well over $35,000 by having in game ads and links to his site, and the game Sling (Which I hadn't heard of until recently) has gotten $17,000 by selling non exclusive rights and its own site. Desktop tower defense is rumored to have gotten 100k, but Im not sure about that one. -Kyle
I would also advise investing further in your game development talents. If you could earn $5500 off doing something you like there is no better job to have.
what a talented person you are creating games at the age of 15, good luck to you... hope that you succeed on your goal in life.
