Hi, My client is an academic organisation. Their academic specialty is creative arts consultancy. We are supplying a system to this client which allows companies who are interested in hiring creative consultants to browse a register of available consultants and then engage in projects with them. As our specialty is in software engineering, we're out of ideas on the more creative front end that the client is seeking. They have the following brief for the web site front page: 1) It must be modern 2) It must say "Creativity" 3) It must have an inutitive navigational structure Beyond this, the only guideline they've provided is "something similar to..." http://www.knowledgedock.com/ Obviously, direct copies are not going to be considered. But the client likes the idea of the interactive image in the centre of the screen and having "lots of boxes" of information. We've had some brainstorm with them on themes that might work... 1) Bee colony. The idea of bees "working together collectively" 2) Creative materials - perhaps tubes of paint, with paint squeezed out in shapes or lines, interconnecting to form the main image 3) Jigsaw puzzle style collage of creative materials 4) Tube map style 5) Anything else that says a combination of "creative arts", "consultancy", "connected", "collaboration" etc. We're just looking for a decent design concept. Not a fully working template. We can turn any design into a web site. The key words on any navigation will be: "Search" "Consultants" "Information" "News" "Members" But there may be more (or less) in the final product, so ensure the design allows felxibility. Our preferred method of running the competition is: Initial round, which will close no later than 12th March We will then provide shortlisted designs an NDA to sign, the actual client logo, typeface and colour schemes to work with for a final round of tidy up and private submissions The winner will then be selected and the paypal payment made I would prefer designs to be posted rather than PM's in order to allow further feedback on what we're looking for. But will accept PM submissions if you prefer. If you need any other info, just post a Q and I'll answer as soon as I can. Finally, I do realise that as this is the client's own specialty you'd think they'd do this themselves. But, they've made it clear they don't want to. Thanks in advance and good luck all!
I can't reveal the name of the business at this stage. As explained in the post, it will be revealed to those who get through the first stage. But I think I've given enough detail to be able to create a concept without giving the business name.
