$150 Restaurant website design contest. (Uncoded - PSD)

My entry

 

preliminary feedback. (minor changes may still be needed if necessary)

Noobdesigner: nice design. Can we get rid of the gradient at the top. It looks like dirty paper. Can we also change the raw meat to something else related to the restaurant. Otherwise, it is a good deisgn.
jnjnnino: Can we get rid of the yellow pattern behind the food? also, change the photos to one only (no multiple photos). Lighten the yellow on the second one.
Chemicalinck: Get rid of the background. It does not look too good. Try a really subtly yellow.Remove all personalisation as we know who it is from.
SJNez46: Very nice. Can you replace the lobster though. I have been told that some people may be put off by this. (subsequent to the first post).
emzdesign: good to see you again. Good design. Can you change the lobster as well, but the meat can stay in this one. Try a more subtle yellow (closer to the "view our delicious menu) Also, can you please remove the personalisation. We know who it is from, and if you want to watermark it, please do so with something generic like "sample"
Eoz: Nice and simple. Good design. Change the font for the blurb and Menu (the logo fonts are , though. It looks like office stationary. We need something more upmarket.
Expury. Nice design. Try to get a picture in there with it, though.


Noobdesigner: Do not worry about designs that are similar. The two of yours are different enough that they are distinguishable. All entries will be judged on merit of design and imagination (as well as being what the client has asked for.). If 2 designs are identical, the first will get the prize, but I do not think that your 2 are.

Bizzard: Nice twist on the design. Can we get the blurb a little thinner and centred with the title just to see what it looks like?


By the way, because of the high standard of designs here, we may also be awarding a second prize (as we have in other contests) if the runner up agrees.

See attached image. It's a hover suggestion on the 4 image on the banner which would be a link to a particular dish/food on the menu page or on any page you want it to link. Looking forward to hearing your feedback again.

This competition will end tomorrow. Anyone that has said they will submit will be contacted to see if they are still interested. After tomorrow, only those that have expressed interest will be able to submit a design.

Once the Competition ends, it will take a few days for the client to chose which one they like, after which the winner will be announced and any runners up will also be announced. (and there will be at least one runner up - we like some of the designs and may use them in other campaigns.)
