Hey guys My friends and I decided to hold a contest for chaging the design of one of our website: HTC phones So if you see Gulliver and ludwig commenting on the designs dont be surprised. They just want to help you and us to get the best possible design. Now lets get back to what we need. WHAT TO DO * Colors: bright, but dark bright! colors but not colorful * Add a logo, icon is not a must, should have a readable font * the logo should clearly state "HTC phones" * Have it adsense optimized WHAT NOT TO DO * NO templates, WE know them by heart and will identify it. WE are on that sites all the day * do NOT use many colors use a few, We dont need a rainbow * do NOT just drop a crap here, We want a simple, plain and pleasant design, overview it yourself, see whether you like it or not before posting here. SITE'S STRUCTURE: * Should have a nicely looking header, with a few links and search on top * The content area should be devided into 2 or 3 columns. First column should be the menu, second one and third one will be used for featured mobile phones or adsense (250x300) and finally the 4th column either phones to buy or again an adsense leatherboard * The first page should feature 4-8 latest posts and around 10-15 a bit older ones * Use the links from the current site * Here is a site whose STRUCTURE (not design) I like a lot: http://ww.am/4v9 and we need structure exactly like that one's is CONTEST RULES * I will set a deadline of 7 days for the content. It will expire in 7 days from the moment of posting * I reserve the right to NOT pick a winner, or to EXTEND the contest, if none of the posted designs are of favor for us. * The winner will be paid via paypal * The winner must submit the PSD file, fonts and images used, 1 design for home page and 1 design for internal pages. Not different but for a different type of content * Feel free to watermark any design you post. * NO DESIGNS ARE ACCEPTED VIA PM ALL DESIGNS SHOULD BE HERE. Hi rentdn. Just a quick question. Can you please just clarify, what you mean by 'Colors: bright, but dark bright! colors but not colorful'? Thanks!
Hi Matt Well For example color fcff00 ( yellow is very bright ) , ce8b09 is not bright again but it is bit darker. I'm not a designer thus it is hard for me to describe , feel free to play around with colors if you think that it will produce good eye catching design , I'll be able to make comments once I'll see.
