15 Wii U / Nintendo Domains - Appraisals Appreciated

I took a half-day off work on June 7 and watched the E3 conference, during which Nintendo announced its new HD home console -- the Wii U -- slated for release in 2012. Hence, I was able to register some decent domain names.

    Frankly
, I'm not too concerned about "trademark violations." I've been operating Nintendo fansites for over 10 years and nothing has ever happened. No lawsuit, no cease-and-desist, no warning email, no nothin'. Look at mariokartwii.com, nsider.com, and pokedex.com, all of which are third-party fansites that have been in business for years.

For each domain, I've written a few notes explaining its significance and potential usage. I hope they will be useful, especially to those who may not be as familiar with Nintendo or video games in general. You don't have to appraise every one of them, just the ones you have opinions about. Thanks in advance for your help. :)

    (1) wii-u.org

    • wii-u.com and wii-u.net are both registered to Nintendo and redirect to the official website.
    • This makes wii-u.org the premier Wii U domain name available on the market.
    • Note that the system is officially marketed as the Wii U, with the space in the middle. The WIIU is trademarked by the Workers' International Industrial Union.
    (2) nintendo-wiiu.net

    • .net alternative, but longer.
    (3) newsupermariobrosmii.net

    • New Super Mario Bros. Mii is an upcoming Mario game for the Wii U. Its predecessor, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, has sold 22 million copies and is currently the 14th best-selling video game of all time. Its sequel is guaranteed to be a smash hit.
    • newsupermariobrosmii.com is registered to Nintendo.
    (4) supermariomii.com

    • A shorter (and .com) alternative to the lengthy newsupermariobrosmii.net.
    (5) smashbroswiiu.com

    • Smash Bros. Wii U was announced as a working title during Nintendo's E3 press conference. The Smash fighter franchise is one of Nintendo's biggest multiplayer hits, alongside Mario Kart and Pokémon.
    • The franchise enjoys a very rabid fanbase, overflowing with chatter before, during and after the game's release.
    • Pre-release discussion usually centers around viable/wanted characters, their associated movesets, and speculation about new gameplay mechanics.
    • Post-release discussion usually centers around the research of advanced battle techniques, as well as the exchange of tournament replays for further analysis.
    • Smashboards, one of the earliest Smash fansites, was acquired by Major League Gaming for a six-figure sum.
    (6) wiiufit.net

    • Wii U Fit is the anticipated successor to Wii Fit. Combined with its expansion pack, Wii Fit Plus, this popular fitness training programme is currently the 2nd best-selling console game of all time, with 42 million total copies sold.
    • wiiufit.com is registered to Nintendo.
    (7) wiiucode.com

    • One of the most popular search queries is "console codes" ("wii codes", "ps3 codes", "xbox codes", etc.) Can't get any better than this 8-letter domain name.
    • If the Wii U ends up using a friend code system like the Wii and DS, the domain is perfect for a friend code exchange, too. See friendcodes.com for an example of a successful website.
    (8) wiiucheat.net

    • Alternatively, gamers search for "cheats" instead of "codes", i.e. "wii cheats", "ps3 cheats", etc.
    (9) wiiuboards.net

    • Great for starting a message board about the Wii U.
    • Alternatively, when Wii U Fit is released, can make a site selling balance boards. See wiiboards.com.
    (10) wiiusave.com

    • Since the Wii U has been confirmed to use read-only optical media for software, it's a safe bet that save files and game progress data will likely be stored in console memory and be transferable via SD card.
    • WiiSave.com is a major site that facilitates the exchange of completed game saves.
    (11) wiiusaves.com

    • Same concept as above. The plural means the domain is lengthened by 1 letter, but at least it'll keep out potential competitors.
    (12) freewiius.net

    • For affiliate marketers. Think FreeiPods from way back when. freewiis.net is an example site.
    (13) wiiuemulators.com

    • Every time a new console is released, many people will be looking for emulators. It took several years for Dolphin to develop to a relatively stable release, and high-definition consoles are much more complex. But with Moore's Law still alive, it'll eventually happen.
    (14) wiiuemulator.net

    • Same as above. Singular and shorter by 1 letter, but this is a .net.
    (15) wiiusystem.com

    • Popular search query. Many eBay and Craigslist sellers specify "system" in the listing title to emphasize that it's the original console that they're selling, as opposed to a game or accessory. If you enroll in eBay Partner Network and have the site output relevant listings, you could generate some leads.
