This is a serious kick in the backside for me! I am in Australia and had no idea that a check from the US would cost so much to cash! Does anyone know how I can cash this check for smaller fees? I still have the check, when they told me the fees I wouldn't let them cash it NO WAY Let me see $29 check minus $15 = $14 =
That's quiet expensive. In my own, I won't cash that check. Yes, you need to pay for encashment but that's is expensive.
Yes I just hope there are some aussies here that have some advice for me I won't mind paying a few dollars to cash it but $15 is outlandish to the extreme!
I'm not from aussie. but yes, cashing US$ check will cost me around $10 - $35 in my country. I suggest you to set higher threshold for your payment. for the check you have right now, you may go to other bank. different bank will charge different fee.
damn... i cant erally suggest something... btw can anyone tell me how much does it cost to cash it in india?
In India it takes $12, I've heard. Adbrite is crap from all angles. poor rates delayed payments no paypal, bank transfer high conversion charge
Do you have Nationwide? HSBC charge $30 to cash a USD cheque in England, but Nationwide charge $13 - that is cheap to me after the first one!
Yeah that is what I intend to do from now on. That sounds good, is that a definite? I will check that out. My bank is Westpac. Haven't heard of them so I don't think so.
