Contest $15 Logo Design Contest - Link Typhoon - Limited Time

Hello,

Link Typhoon is currently in remodeling stages and requires a professional logo which is suitable for both web design and print use.

Information:
Featured Name: Link Typhoon
Colour: No recommendations, but it must look good with most colours.
Graphics: Optional, but it would appeal if it had a "link" (possibly, but not limited to a "chain") and possibly a typhoon (but of course not limited to it). Again, if it doesn't work, then that's fine.
Audience: Mainly webmasters and people who own websites.
Size: No set size, but must be landscape and be able to be used for 125*125 and header adverts etc.
File Format: Transparent .png. A .psd would also be required (if also, a vector version).
Ownership: Final copyright designs is given to myself, but feel free to use it in your portfolio etc. I prefer no later disputes, so this is legally binding.
Payment Mode: PayPal only.
Transfer Mode: I will send you my Email address (will be gmail if you need to know that).
Payment: $15 (more if it has the "wow" factor)

I will attempt to give feedback on each design, but I will be limited by timezone and time of day. I am looking for as many proposals/submissions as possible and will keep this open for a week. Also, should there not be a satsfcatory submission, I will have to terminate this contest.

@debayanmitra, thanks for your submission. I dislike the current font you are using and the color scheme seems a little too dull for my liking. The concept with the graphic on the side is nice, but the actual design is not what I envisioned.

@debayanmitra, generally I disliked the font. It doesn't feel unique and the whole logo itself feels bland.

@harshadpatil, thanks for your entry. As a whole, it doesn't really capture my attention. I dislike the rings on the side and the font could be curved, rather than straight and 'blocky' letters.

@Humorous.tv, Thank you for your sbumission. I actually quite like it. Could you please experiment with the wave, and maybe make it a little bigger? The colors are soft and nice, although I'm not too sure about the orange wave. Since I am going to be using it for print and web design, I am looking for a design that can fit in multiple advertisement sizes.

 

I liked the orange wave because I thought it complimented the blue, also any suggestions on the color of the wave? Also I'll get on some revisions

 

Yes, it did complement the blue, although the blue seemed a little dull, making the orange a little dull, in my opinion. I think if you make the blue "brighter", and then complement with another orange tone, it would make it look better.

@darike, thanks for your submission. I feel it is a little "plain" and doesn't feel "innovative". Also, if I were to place "link" on a dark background, it probably won't show as it's a dark color.

@Humorous.tv, I'm quite liking it now. Both designs feel "fresh" and it does feel innovative, especially your second one. Right now, I am leaning towards yours over the rest, but I will leave it open until Friday (as I did say 1 week in my topic) and see where it goes. Could you please see if it would still look ok on a darker background?

@darike, to be honest with you, I would brand Humorous.tv's submission over yours (please don't take offense). I think it's mainly to do with the typhoon image. It feels too dull for my liking and I probably wouldn't want to brand a logo with something dull in it, especially for my genre. So, maybe change the typhoon's color, and probably innovate the typhoon into the text, somehow. Thanks.
